Nationalism, Religion and Wars without End

Sunday, July 18. 2010

As the author of "United States of Arrogance" and "God vs. Religion" I want to research and write about how nationalism and religion leads to unnecessary wars. Being a worldwide motivational speaker and minister, I see many misrepresentations of deity throughout the international religious community that divide humanity and prove to be deadly.

Grants, scholarships and philanthropic donations are welcomed to my 501 C 3 nonprofit, IRS registered organization, Dream-Maker Ministries which is wholeheartedly committed to building bridges globally and empowering humanity to love one another unconditionally and support individuality en route to dream fulfillment for all.

Diversity Speaker on China Cultural Sensitivity for Business Profitability

Wednesday, July 7. 2010

As a former student who studied and lived at the University of Hong Kong in China, an English teacher who lived and taught in Taipei, Taiwan and an English Pastor for a local Chinese Church I learned a few things about diversity and cultural sensitivity as it pertains to China.

Here below are some faux pas to endeavor to avoid:

- Placing chopsticks vertically in a rice bowl - equivalent to wishing death to someone.

- Chopsticks placed parallel on top of a bowl - said to be a sign of bad luck.

- Using red ink to write a message or sign a document - signifies the end of a relationship.

- Gifts of clocks and handkerchiefs - associated with death.

- Gifts of knives, scissors, and umbrellas - indicate a wish to sever a relationship.

- A gift of a green hat - signifies marital infidelity.

- The number four - associated with death and considered very unlucky.

I recall when I was having lunch with some successful lawyers in Hong Kong, they drank alcohol but I drank orange juice. The fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious and my hosts welcomed me to drink more. Yet when the bill came the attorney whom I was doing an internship for suddenly looked shocked at the bill. I guess the orange juice was not included and the price was well beyond what he anticipated (perhaps more than the alcoholic drinks).

Nevertheless the kind lawyer refused to allow me to pay and replied, "Don't worry. Here orange is lucky!"

African American History Speaker and Fundraiser: African American History Speaker for Breakthrough and Personal Empowerment

Wednesday, February 24. 2010

Warm greetings from Florida!

As a worldwide professional speaker who has traveled extensively throughout war-torn and impoverished Africa (visiting the continent six times), I am able to speak to the suffering, poverty and needs of the people within this continent.

Here below is a very graphic video from Rwanda, where genocide occurred:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heeBrY2Ut5s

Among the countries within Africa where I have been are: Rwanda, Burundi, Congo, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Malawi and Egypt. I was so deep in the bush during my first trip to Africa, I was often surrounded by crowds of adults and children who had never before seen a white man! This is just one of many stories of my personal experiences I can share with your audience.

If ever you need a African American history speaker or fundraiser with heartfelt stories to powerfully awaken people to the needs of Africa and effectively raising financial support for worthy causes please contact me.

My expertise concerning African American History/Culture is well documented in my books and talks. In fact I personally met Dr. Martin Luther King's daughter Bernice when she spoke at my former church in California, after which I personally spoke with her to further capture her spirit with which I empower people throughout the world to "live like a King".

Keeping abreast of current events (for example Haiti) and incorporating inspirational material into every presentation, I trust your needs, goals and objectives will be met and the funds you seek to raise exceedingly above and beyond what you anticipated.

I look forward to serving you.

Diversity Speaker for Universities and Colleges: Diversity Speaker, Activist and Fundraiser for University and College Students, Faculty and Academic Communities

Friday, February 19. 2010

Warm greetings from sunny Florida!

If you are looking for a true diversity speaker to serve and assist you in your fundraising effort, please consider me.

As a worldwide diversity speaker who has touched 58 countries, 55 islands and 6 continents my entire life and passion is a diversity celebration! More on that below in my bio :o)

As the author of "Teacher Success and Survival Secrets" I can speak to your academic faculty, while simultaneously addressing your community and student body in inspirational fashion with a dynamically moving and life-changing message. Edu-tainment that touches hearts, transcends barriers and transforms minds is my specialty.

As I watched Grey's Anatomy last night on TV, the episode pertaining to diversity in higher education (professional education of doctors, interns and medical students) was very appropriate and powerful. I spoke to the Florida Literacy Coalition recently on diversity, which I summarized afterward here:

Diversity Speaker Training Teachers & Empowering Educators

My messages are rich with heartfelt stories and humor that impart powerful principles and truth, while disarming and empowering all ages.

Immaculata University outside Philadelphia (a city rich with diversity) had me come in a speak to their students, after which I share a portion on my message on their beautiful campus:

Diversity & Multiculturalism Speaker
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TPkrH4dObEg

I had the privilege to personally meet Dr. Martin Luther King's daughter Bernice when she spoke at our church in California where she spoke on great expectations. In the spirit of Dr. King I also empower people of every race to come together and "Live Like a King" to make our world a better and more inclusive place.

Please kindly take a moment at your leisure and convenience to further review my bio and website below to further familiarize yourself with me.

http://paulfdavis.com/diversity-speaker

Should you want any diversity enrichment materials for your event (and can provide me sufficient notice of the size of your audience, budget, etc.) I am sure I can also bring my new book on "Diversity, Multiculturalism and Global Cooperation" to further assist in bringing about more long-term ethnic awareness and a lasting internal shift to uplift all to higher ground.

Lastly as the founder and president of my own international IRS 501 C 3 recognized nonprofit organization Dream-Maker Ministries preparing to go on my 2nd trip to Haiti, I understand how to make appeals for financial support and am good at fundraising for charitable causes.

When in your region and on your campus I am willing to also visit and speak at other campuses, Greek life, clubs and organizations to maximize my impact and service to your academic community.

Once you agree to book me as your speaker I can also consult you on other creative fundraising strategies to ensure your event is a huge success!

Diversity Speaker for Customer Service Training - Diversity and Customer Service Speaker to Empower You!

Tuesday, January 5. 2010

Warm greetings from sunny Florida!

As a worldwide speaker who has provided thousands of presentations in 57 countries and 6 continents, I am deeply and intimately acquainted with and passionate about diversity. I also personally met Dr. Martin Luther King's daughter to catch the spirit of diversity and empower humanity regardless of race to live like a King.

As a world traveler who frequently interacts with the hospitality industry and serves part-time as a mystery shopper, I would be able to deliver a compelling, captivating and empowering presentation on diversity for your company in regard to providing customer service when dealing with different customs and ethnicities.

Having authored several books including "United States of Arrogance" I am also aware of some of the foolish stereotypes and labeling that goes on in North America, which reduces our influence and impact as leaders.

Here below are a couple informal videos, my website and bio to further acquaint you with me.

Diversity Training for Educators: Diversity Speaker for Ethnic Awareness, Multiculturalism and Transcending Labels to Birth Leaders

Thursday, December 17. 2009

Diversity Empowerment for Educators

As a former educator and teacher of English to international students at a Central Florida high-school, I know firsthand the importance of diversity within education. As a worldwide speaker I have witnessed discrimination overseas and experienced reverse discrimination when I was a minority trying to fit in other cultures.

As the author of "Diversity, Ethnic Awareness and Multiculturalism" I understand the components and prerequisites necessary to achieve a healthy and productive work environment.

Celebrate diversity by creating a healthy and discrimination free educational environment.

Learn how to create a friendly atmosphere for educators and students, while cultivating respect among different cultures. Achieve ethnic awareness to transcend labels, bring all walks of life together and give birth to leaders.

In the spirit of Dr. Martin Luther King, be empowered to pioneer a path of peace and brotherhood to achieve greatness.

Black History Celebration Speaker: MLK Day Speaker on Black History and Rich Heritage

Tuesday, December 8. 2009

Warm greetings from sunny Florida.

As a social activist for affirmative action, justice and corporate & governmental accountability I am delighted you are seeking a speaker for your Black History Month Celebration. I had the honor and distinct privilege of meeting Rev. Bernice King (Dr. Martin Luther King's daughter) in southern California when she spoke at our church.

Many of the freedoms and civil liberties we possess in America today came about as a result of black leaders who peaceably and perseveringly pioneered a path to the promised land liberating all of mankind. The black heritage and history in America is therefore rich and enduring.

Today in the spirit of Dr. King we must continue to work to maintain the Civil Rights our forefathers won for us. Truly civil rights violations continue to occur in America:

- The New York police murder of an unarmed African American groom at his bachelor party.

- The boot camp beating leading to the death of a 14 year old African American boy here in Florida.

- The University of Florida student who asked Senator John Kerry an undesirable question and was removed from the venue and tasered by campus security.

As for me I was raised by a retired Lt. Colonel in the U.S. Army (my beloved grandfather) and therefore understand the militaristic mindset when it comes to dealing with terrorism. Yet before we battle abroad, it seems there is much work and many battles still to be fought at home to secure and sustain the civil rights of our own people presently being taken advantage of and denied justice on a daily basis.

If Martin Luther King were alive today, he would continue to cry out against such injustice. The modernization of the world and global means of world travel has brought us closer together economically, technologically and via our entertainment.

I have been to Africa five times, having slept in a tent in the bush within war torn countries for months and been so deep into the bush where electricity doesn't exist and some had never before seen a white man. Thus I intimately know the plight of Africans abroad and within the homeland (the latter through my work in the inner city as a minister and through prison ministry among inmates).

Emancipation legally has come, but for transformation to occur illumination within and the fight of faith must be fought individually to ensure progression to the promised land Dr. King saw and dreamed of for us all.

Had Dr. King and other Civil RIghts leaders remained silent, everybody in America would be enslaved regardless of the color of our skin. Because where oppression exists in shades and degrees, it can bleed and spead to burden all of humanity.

I wish for you the heart, strength, inspiration, fire and burning desire of Dr. King to continue to carry the torch of light in a dark and desperate world thirsting for prophetic leaders full of courage and boldness lift up their voices to champion for civil rights for all.

Sincerely,

Paul F Davis

Kanye West, Taylor Swift & Jay Leno - Hurt People, Hurt People & Get the Presidential Jackass Award

Monday, September 28. 2009

When Kenye West sought to steal the show from Taylor Swift during a televised award presentation, Kanye quickly earned the Presidential "jackass" award from President Obama.

Moreover Kenye quickly disgusted his fans, friends and family alike.

Upon going on Jay Leno, Kanye nearly cried upon acknowledging the error of his ways and reflected upon his own hurt and internal issues he's got to deal with so as to not inflict further pain unnecessarily upon others.

Truly hurt people do hurt people, multiplying their sorrows.

Upon waking up today I went to check my yahoo inbox for email before which I noticed the news on Omar Bin Laden, son of Osama Bin Laden.  Some say Omar Osama bin Laden bears a striking resemblance to his infamous father - except for the dreadlocks that dangle halfway down his back.

Omar is also a bit more stylish, wearing a black leather biker jacket. Though the 26-year-old does not renounce his father, al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, he has pursued a path of peace with his life.

Omar's dream is to an "ambassador for peace" between Muslims and the West. Omar shocked the world when he married a 52-year-old British woman named Jane Felix-Browne, who has since taken the name Zaina Alsabah.

Previously married five times, Zaina seems very happy with Omar and desirious of him to move to live with her in England.  As for Omar he divorced his wife so he could immigrate to the UK without hindrance as British law does not recognize multiple marriages as is customary in Islamic nations.

The two are planning a 3,000-mile horse race across North Africa to actively pursue global peace, particularly across the treacherous terrorist plagued nations stretching from Cairo to Morocco.  The couple welcome others to participate in the ride for peace.

Upon hearing this I immediately began writing to learn more, inquiring of friends in the UK and elsewhere throughout the world.  Two days later I received a reponse via email from Zaina and spoke to her the same day by way of phone in Egypt.  Zaina expects the event to begin in May this year and last about four months, traveling by horse 50 miles a day.

Items we need to get donated are: water, tents, clothing, horses, veterinarians, doctors, money, four-wheel drive vehicles (just for the event after which they shall be returned), videographers, photographers, airline tickets, and much more.

Zaina told me to buy a horse it in Egypt, it will approximately cost me $4,000 after which if the horse successfully completes the race I can sell the horse and recooperate some of my money.

It is my desire to ride with the Bin Ladens to promote world peace.  I trust I shall be able to get all necessary sponsorship to fund this endeavor.

I intend to take a videographer with me to capture this unforgettable journey of peace.

Your prayers and help are much appreciated.

Osama Bin Laden's Son the Peace Activist

Friday, January 18. 2008
Omar Osama bin Laden bears a striking resemblance to his notorious father — except for the dreadlocks that dangle halfway down his back. Then there's the black leather biker jacket. The 26-year-old does not renounce his father, al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden, but in an interview with The Associated Press, he said there is better way to defend Islam than militancy: Omar wants to be an "ambassador for peace" between Muslims and the West.

Omar — one of bin Laden's 19 children — raised a tabloid storm last year when he married a 52-year-old British woman, Jane Felix-Browne, who took the name Zaina Alsabah. Now the couple say they want to be advocates, planning a 3,000-mile horse race across North Africa to draw attention to the cause of peace.

The couple has applied for a visa to Britain. And they are planning their endurance horse race across North Africa, which they hope to start in March. It is in the planning stages — they are seeking approval of governments along the route and need sponsors to help pay for the event and raise money for child victims of war.

Omar said they plan to ride 30 miles a day, with periodic weeklong rests in each country.

Teams from around the world will be encouraged to join in what the couple envisions as an equine version of the Paris-Dakar car rally. That rally was canceled this year due to fears over terrorist threats made by al-Qaida-affiliated groups in North Africa.

Omar, however, said he isn't worried.

"I heard the rally was stopped because of al-Qaida," he said. "I don't think they are going to stop me."
