Iran’s Ahmadinejad said that all nations worldwide including the American people expect basic and clear changes in Washington’s foreign and domestic policies. Ahmadinejad is hoping Obama will prefer real public interests and justice and seize the opportunity to serve people so that he will be remembered with high esteem.
Ahmadinejad said Iran welcomes basic and fair changes in U.S. policies and conducts, especially in the region, adding that other nations also expect war-oriented policies to be replaced by the ones advocating justice, respect for human rights, friendship and noninterference in other countries’ internal affairs.
After Obama came out publicly verbally criticizing an attempt by Iran to develop nuclear power, Iran’s parliament speaker criticized the U.S. President-elect Barack Obama for saying that Iran’s development of a nuclear weapon is unacceptable.
Ali Larijani said that Obama should apply his campaign message of change to U.S. dealings with Iran. Larijani feels Obama needs to know change is not simply superficial or rhetorical, but must be expected and implemented within U.S. foreign policy strategy.

Iran president Ahmadinejad congratulates Obama, but Obama criticized by Iran for nuclear opposition. Iran and Obama heat up nuclear and foreign policy debate, turning heads in both Iran and the U.S. Tongue lashings between Iran and Obama. Nuclear war is not desirable by most in the U.S., nor in Iran.
